Application:
The cover harness with splint-secured wax block is strapped in front of the ram's chest. The color marking on the back of the ram allows the breeder to determine the lambing time or rate. One color per mating period is used because of the rebucking. The blocks are used because of the better contrast of the marking from light to dark.
