INB Paddock Boards (hanit®): A revolution in paddock stabilisation
- Made from 100% recycled plastic (hanit® material)
- Maintenance-free: they do not rot, corrode or require painting or maintenance
- Extreme resistance to frost and UV rays (year-round use)
INB paddock boards, made of the innovative hanit® material, are a ready-made solution to the problem of mud, unevenness and ground damage. With them, it takes just a moment to create a highly stable, water-permeable and safe paddock. INB slabs are ideal for stabilising playing fields, riding arenas and for draining frequently used walkways and feeding areas.
Eco-friendly and Unsurpassed Durability
Durable and weatherproof, INB slabs have stood the test of time in agriculture and animal husbandry. The hanit® material - 100% recycled plastic - is a guarantee:
-
Resistance for years: Hanit easily withstands years of exposure to frost and UV rays.
-
Maintenance-free: The panels will not rot or corrode and require no maintenance or painting.
-
Year-round applications: They are ideal for use in open spaces, paddocks and riding arenas.
Quick installation without a substructure
INB paddock boards can be laid quickly and easily. Thanks to their low weight and integrated plug-in system, the ground can be stabilised without the need for costly sealing or the preparation of a special base.
The hollow-cell system acts as an air reservoir, preventing the slabs from sinking into the ground, meaning they can be laid directly on soil or mud. An additional advantage of the plug-in system is that the installation can be extended at any time. The unlined slabs are also ideal for mobile solutions, such as temporary stabilisation of paths at events.
Filling and greening
Once laid, the slabs can be filled with topsoil, coarse sand (grain size approx. 0.3) or other permeable material. It is also possible to sow grass to create a green surface. Even large areas can be stabilised in a short time, providing a safe surface that can easily withstand the high pressure of horses' hooves.
Certified Strength and Drainage
1 Load distribution:
Thanks to the special design and stable connecting bars, INB panels ensure even load distribution, creating a durable, self-supporting structure. The weight of animals or vehicles is distributed over a larger area, reducing pressure per square metre and protecting the soil, which is crucial for sustainable agriculture.
-
INB slabs are certified to DIN 1072 and can withstand an axle load of 10 tonnes.
-
No substructure is required for cars up to 3.5 tonnes.
-
A 15 to 30 cmsub-base layer is only recommended for occasional or permanent heavy vehicle traffic.
2 Drainage and retention function:
The slabs also act as drainage panels, preventing the accumulation of water. Excess water enters the lower soil layers and is drained away, which has the added benefit of keeping the ground surface moist during periods of drought.
-
Use in reverse: If the slabs are laid upside down, they act as retention basins. Water collects in the hollow chambers, preventing the surface from becoming dusty. This is ideal for equestrian arenas, where it significantly reduces dustiness.
Wide range of applications
INB paddock boards from hanite are suitable for a wide range of applications for horses, cattle, sheep and other livestock, providing a safe and stable surface.
-
Animal benefits: Stabilising muddy surfaces means less stress on animals' hooves, reducing the risk of injury and disease.
-
Top layer for animals: An additional top layer is always recommended. Fine, soft sand (especially for animals) or bark mulch/wood pellets (especially in feeding areas) are suitable as a top layer.
-
Other applications: The system is used in agriculture (ground protection along access roads, storage areas), landscaping (footpaths, parking areas) and as a sustainable alternative for temporary installations (festivals, fairs, outdoor events).
