The farmer ® AS electric fence unit is powered by the replaceable, integrated 12 volt battery and the 10 watt solar panel. The solar charging control guarantees problem-free recharging of different battery types and is weather-protected in the device. The convenient on / off switch on the electric fence unit means that the power no longer has to be switched off by a fence switch or by pulling the plug.
The 3-stage LED display "Energy Control" provides a quick check of the battery capacity and also shows you the activity of the electric fence unit by flashing in time with the pulse output. Due to the special power saving circuit, the power consumption of the electric fence device adapts to the fence, which ensures less energy consumption, less environmental impact and lower costs.
The ergonomic carrying handle ensures comfortable and easy handling. Our electric fencers are made of high-quality plastics and are UV-resistant, splash-proof, torsion-resistant, impact-resistant as well as oil-resistant. This guarantees you many years of durability of the electric fence device.
The pasture fence unit is suitable for fence lengths (medium vegetation) up to 4.2 km.
We recommend to install the electric fence with a grounding rod for optimal fence safety.

- This warning stands for possible harmful situations caused by electrical voltage, which can lead to serious injury or death if not observed!
- Fire hazard warning
- Warning - there is a risk of smouldering fire if heat builds up. The appliance must not be covered by materials etc. during operation, as this can lead to heat build-up and possibly to fire. Therefore, do not install in areas at risk of fire (e.g. hay and straw stores)
- Warning! Repairs may only be carried out by qualified persons. Only the replacement parts specified by the manufacturer may be used. We reserve the right to make technical changes!
- Please do not cover the electric fence with a plastic bag. Fire hazard due to overheating

Repair service
Reliable, competent and fast contact
Good service plays a major role at horizont. In our in-house repair workshop, experts are available to assist you with words and deeds. In case of a defect or damage of your device (e.g. due to lightning strike or moisture ingress), horizont's technical service will be at your disposal at short notice.
Many of horizont's specialized trade partners can repair your device on site thanks to simple modular construction or your device will be repaired in the service center in Korbach and you will be helped with a loaner device during the short repair time (usually 48 hours).
During the subsequent safety inspection, all components of the device are tested and you receive a one-year warranty on the complete device.
